The food system is more complex than we realize.

A common disregard for the origins of our food has distanced us from the realities of food production and food insecurity. Hunger, a lack of food sovereignty, animal mistreatment, and farmers’ rights are only a few of the issues that exist.

Ultimately, we take our food for granted and unknowingly shelter ourselves from injustices within the food system, allowing them to persist.

My mission is to shed light on food-related issues, successes, and individual stories. In doing so, I hope to enlighten myself and others about the complexities of the food system.

My name is Hannah, and I am a nutrition student at Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. I was first exposed to the complexities of food inequality after watching Food, Inc., and have since wanted to make a substantive impact on the US and global food industry.\
